Richmond County Animal Shelter
The mission of the Richmond County Animal Shelter is to facilitate the placement of stray and unwanted animals into desirable homes and to establish and maintain associated policies and procedures which promote the health, care and handling, and prevent pet over population.

Adoption Rates:

All adoptions are now $20.00 at the Richmond County Animal Shelter.  This new rate includes all appropriate vaccinations.

Spay and Neuter Clinics:  

Spay and Neuter Services offered to all citizens, and SNAP program for qualifying incomes. The clinic is available each Wednesday by appointment only. Please complete the attached forms, return to the shelter and schedule an appointment for your pet.   Click the links below for an application:

Cats: Male $70.00 - Female $98.00
Dogs: Male $107.00 - Female $120.00
Add $7.00 for Rabies Vaccination
Dogs over 75 lbs $142.00

Donations and Volunteers:

Do you love working with animals, and have a desire to help them find a good home?   You may be interested in volunteering at the Richmond County Animal Shelter.    We can always use an extra set of hands to help our staff.    Click HERE for a link to the Volunteer Application and Guidelines

Acceptable Donations:  dog & cat food, litter, blankets and cleaning supplies.  Monetary donations will be accepted in lieu of the above items.   These items may be dropped off at the Animal Shelter during normal operating hours.
