Child Support

Richmond County’s Child Support Services works to enhance the quality of life for children and families through the efficient and timely provision of child support services. Services are available to anyone, regardless of income, who is responsible for a child, a noncustodial parent, or someone who is owed arrears from a court order in which ongoing support has ended.

Notice: The Child Support Services program is not authorized to help with some issues that may seem similar to child support, such as custody, visitation, or property settlements. You may want to contact a private attorney to discuss these concerns.

1) IN-PERSON: You can pick up or submit an application at Richmond County Social Services. If you wish to fill out your application at home before your visit, it is available in English and Spanish.

2) BY-PHONE: Call 1-800-992-9457 to receive an application by mail. You may submit that application in-person by visiting Richmond County Social Services at 125 Caroline Street, Rockingham, NC 28379.

3) ONLINE: Submit your application directly to NCDHHS by completing this online application.
