The Richmond County Water Department is a municipally owned and operated water utility.  The Water Department comprises of the Administration Division (Billing), Water Treatment Plant Division and the Water Maintenance Division.

ADMINISTRATION

The administrative Division is the primary information source for customers, including information on availability, rates, service inquiries, billing records and customer accounts. The Administrative Division also works to provide for the orderly and proper collection of water payments.

WATER TREATMENT PLANT

The Richmond County Water Treatment Plant is dedicated to providing the community with safe and reliable water.  It is our goal to make sure that the drinking water produced meets or exceeds all federal and state health standards. 

WATER MAINTENANCE

The Water Maintenance Division is constantly updating and replacing water mains, valves and hydrants to help ensure an uninterrupted flow of water to customers.  Main breaks, service leaks and hydrant damage occur from various causes and require constant attention and repairs.  Should there be an after hours emergency related to your water service please call 911 and our on call personnel will be dispatched to assess the issue.  An emergency is considered:  Water leaks and / or a loss of water service.
